Congrats Suzie & Don!

My Aunt Suzie and (now) Uncle Don were married this weekend!! Horray! After 45 years she finally met the man she was to marry and asked me (her neice) to photograph the event. Oh happy day... and rainy day! Here are some of my favorite shots we got between the raindrops...

Singing in the Rain...

So my wonderful Aunt Suzie had her rehearsal dinner on Friday night... and on the way back from the rehearsal at the church... the downpour ensued. My mother had worked for 2 days to set up for the dinner, and when we reached the place where the dinner was set up - all the linens, china, silverware and wine goblets were drenched...

The soaking wet shoes by the door...

These are not floating candles...

My mother was so exhausted that she had no energy left... So my sister Beth and I checked the radar and realized it was going to stop raining in 10 minutes, so we rallied the troops. My sister, other sister, other sister's boyfriend, friend 1, friend 2, friend 3 and friend 4 all armed ourselves with towels and headed outside. We peeled off the linens, went out for nice plastic wear, dried the chairs and lit the fire...

Beth and I were singing "The Ants Went Marching 1 by 1 horrah!" while we were tossing water off plates and drying everything off... it was fabulous. The motto of the night was "We'll make it work." And you know what... we did! And it had to have been the most adventureous, fun, love filled rehearsal dinner that I've been to in a long time.
Here are the last of the pics of people enjoying the deck after the rain...

Jaq & Jer E-Sesh

So I photographed the most beautiful couple last week. Meet Jacquelyn and Jeremy! They are recent Master Commission graduates, dear, dear friends; and TRUE high school sweethearts. I feel very priviledged to know them and be apart of their lives. If their engagement was this much fun, I can't wait to see their wedding in June! Congrats you guys!

And of course my favorite with just Jaq...

Shootsac

So I'm in love... with my new Shootsac!! And of course I got a purple cover, and I also bought the baroque cover for shooting my weddings this summer. This thing has made my life so much easier and I highly recommend it to anyone in this industry. Go Jessica Claire! Pick up your own
